I generally check Hattons a couple of times a day week to see what's new in stock.

Yesterday I saw that they had a new delivery of CL68's from Dapol, and 68004 Rapid caught my eye as I don't have that one.

So I duly got authority from SWMBO and went onto their website today to order one.

BUT then I saw that they also still have 68001 Evolution & 68034 in stock as well.

So out came my Key publishing DRS 25 years book, which has a handy summary of all their locos, and I realised that 001 and 034 would be ideal for my layout as well.

With 2 of my existing 68's hauling around the Revolution KUA's, one hauling a bunch of Megafrets, and the last one waiting for yet more Revolution stuff (TPE MK5A's), I decided that you can't have too many 68's on the WCML, so I accidentally bought all 3.  :-[

Then I find out that nobody has any Zimo Next18 decoders in stock, so I had to bite the bullet and buy the last 3 I could find over here from SBS4DCC. The Zimo "Economy range" isn't a thing over here, so an MX618N18 or MX617N costs just the same as any other Zimo decoder, which means it's cheaper to buy them from the UK even with postage charges.

Looking on the bright side, my wife never checks our bank statements  :D

Now what about that new FL CL70?

John P

So authority to purchase one Class 66 was obtained but...  Mmm, I hope you are in SWMBO's good books!

Kind regards
