Personally, that is where TLJ failed, as none of the original story was used, Rian Johnson convinced Lucasfilm of a new storyline which would not require any re-shoots

Interesting. Do you feel that the scale of reshoots required on Rogue One affected Disney's approach to TLJ?

On a relate note, do you get the impression that the negative critical reception of TLJ has affected their approach to Ris fo Skywalker?

I really wanted to like TLJ but I just struggled. It felt like too many off-notes. Actions and decisions that seemed to leave a bad taste. TFA (fairly in my opinion) receives some criticism for being just a bit too close to ANH in storyline but it had so many feel-good moments. Even Han's death (much as I love the character) felt right.

Why is this new episode in the saga called 'Teaser'?
Teaser refers to a Trailer, not initally certified for use in cinemas or TV
Usually shown at an event, and then shown in cinema or TV several days, weeks, and sometimes months later

In this case shown 12 April 2019, approved for cinema on 15 April 2019, and now classified as Trailer A

Allmost all major films have reshoots, they are always scheduled for them
The two films are very different
The only difference was by this point Lucasfilm had an ILM development office at Pinewood Studios, so instead of having to wait (due to time difference taking between 9 and 12 hours) for the film to be sent to San Francisco, checked, and then either confirmed or advised of filming changes that were required, the response was cut to just 30 minutes

No, the main issue was replacing Colin Treverrow with JJ Abrams
As a result the initial filming schedule was cancelled, the story re-written, and a new filming schedule created

Equally, I thoroughly enjoyed watching some of the filming of TLJ, and to then see that in the cinema
However, once that emotion had passed, the underlying story was just ridiculously stupid

My worst criticism was the First Order (with their enormous fleet) just following the Resistance
Why did they not take the decision to send a small fleet of Star Destroyers ahead and cut them off
Oh, end of film, how do they escape that problem

Equally, many people were under the impression that TLJ would be parallel to ESB, as TFA was to ANH
Thankfully, the storyline for TROS has completely binned that idea!
