I also received two very nice Scottish Single Malts to add to my fairly large collection. Those two new ones will be sampled later.
Which malts, PP?  Just finished my St Stephen's Day glass of Port Charlotte (another excuse for a "Laddie" but nearly as good as Infinity).  Santa brought me another Glenmorangie special - Quinta Ruban - matured in a port cask.
Had a very nice Speyside-Ben Riach And a Highland Loch Lomond 18 yr old.
Very nice indeed.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I didn't do too bad, got some vouchers for my local model shop which I'm sure will be put to good use and an airbrush/compressor/paints;  and for my mid life crisis birthday just after xmas I got a day driving steam trains which I can't wait to do.

Midlife crisis or not, Driving Steam Train's Ah you lucky so & so  :beers:

Mainly non-railway stuff, but I did get a green, speed-whiskered class 108. I'd spotted it on Ebay and suggested my wife should get it for me. Good price too - possibly as it was wrongly put in the OO section, so not too many bids.
It was advertised as having a good motor, but running roughly on the track, so I assumed pick-ups or a split gear. However, testing it on a loop of track the other day (I am over in Ireland for Christmas, so only have a circle of set-track with me for testing) it ran perfectly at any speed from a crawl to flat out. The only thing I can find wrong is a missing coupling, so I am very happy.

@stevewalker Bonus me thinks, I love the 'Suggesting'  :beers:

Santa brought me 2 of the old farish pullman diners and one pullman brake... had to pay him though... (still, having some in pristine condition to complete my rake bcm available for Christmas was a nice present)

Well, to be completely accurate, I bought it and paid for it on her bank account and then told her that I'd bought it  :bounce: She had been asking what to get me and I'd told her what I was looking at. I was then very good and let her have the parcel without unwrapping it once it arrived.

Drakken

@stevewalker Exactly what I would have done lol. Still a surprise and well done for not unwrapping it lol

@dp247 Santa not even give you a discount :( Must admit a rake off Pullman's would look awesome

The Oilers!? I'm not a hockey fan but mentioning Alberta... Them's fightin' words to an Ontarian! It's the Leafs, the Senators, or the Habs!

Ah, my condolences for that. Being single does have one perk, I can go straight to the hobby shop although in England the friend I went with got a little :censored: after an hour at the one shop he came to but as we're both single there was no clothes shopping.

And as to that I doubt it, none of them went through the ebay global shipping program before getting to me, it seems to go out of its way to make the shipping process as long and costly as possible, on one thing i ordered it went through five separate carriers according to the tracking details!  That said I did get an interesting look from the security at Gatwick when they asked what was in the carry on bag and I pulled that farish A1 North Eastern thats in the pic out of it. Never trust your fragile purchases to Air Canada checked baggage... although the scotch came through all right  :beers:.
