Today I am having a steroid injection to the spine.

Nerves are a bit on edge, especially as I am not allowed anymore cups of tea until after the procedure.

Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

Hope all goes well and it does whatever it's meant to do.

Have no fear Bob. I had a few of those some years back, both in the lumbar spine for a long term problem and later in the neck region following an injury. A bit uncomfortable is how I would describe it, and yes, I was well wound up before hand. But it proved to be far less of a trial than I had imagined and it made a hell of a positive difference to pain I was getting.

Take a flask of tea for an immediate hit straight after. :D

Take care, and hope for a pretty nurse to distract you. :)

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Just substitute whiskey for the tea and you won't feel a thing ;)
(Note my preference for Irish whiskey)

Very painful. Would this be for a prolapsed disk?

I had that problem many years ago and the steroid injection did nothing for me. In the end I took control, went private had had the disk removed. It was the best thing for me (But not without it's risks). That was twelve years ago.
