Fantastic model! Some really quality work went into making that locomotive! You must be quite pleased

I also can't imagine that there are many (if any) other models of the Hush-Hush in n gauge, so that is a wonderful item to have in the collection

I don't even want to know what a commission like that goes for, but I can say that, from my perspective, it was money well spent

I have seen a few of Derek's creations on 'The North of England Line' layout and subsequently visited his house and seen the locos he has built for his display cabinet. Wonderful models but I just wish he wouldn't use those Farish front bogies.

The Wibbly Wobbly ones ?

In my experience the earlier Farish front bogies whilst a bit ungainly if gauged correctly rarely give trouble.

As we saw from resent Farish models where "display" and "use" bogies were both supplied, what looks right does not always work well.

I have fitted N brass bogies to 5 of my locos, and found them less trouble over point work than the Farish roller skate

In repley to using different front bogies on my models there are two reasons I don't use them one is that my models run for years with no problems using the GF Bogies and the second reason the cost, my models are dear enough without addind more to produce them, OK if you don't like them fit them yourself
