Long-term viability of circuit-board fitted locos?

"Spares emporium" - I like it! Well, what you see there is really my spares department, mainly the result of buying spares from BR Lines, Peter's Spares and some bits from ebay. Like I said before, if I replace an old part with a new one, the old part gets transferred to the spares dept.

There's not much in there that's the result of "stripping" for scrap. Sometimes the components are worth more than getting a loco running again, but I just can't bring myself to completely stripping locos purely for spares. I might have to one day, but I try and get everything running (ok ok, there's a lot still waiting to be looked at, I'll concede).

Yes, great fun, and that's the hobby for me. Still learning all the time mind!
