:o :o There I was minding my own business and looking out the front window when I get 'Googled' by their car camera thingie.
I guess they have heard how good looking I am or were they just updating  pictures of our road ?  :worried: :worried:

Sounds like a painful experience.

They are spying on your trains for the forthcoming Google Layout View service. Watch out for suspicious vehicles on your layout with mysterious black protuberances.

I got got about 18 months ago and I'm still waiting for them to update the image on Streetview - they are still using the image from 2009 and I really want to see my blurred out face framed for eternity...or at least until they do it again.

I have access to two different Google Map apps and can also view Google Stretview. Curiously they each show my  house at different stages of development from about 2004 through to 2010. I am amazed at how much work I have done over that period. Cars in the images seem to be the best means of dating them.

I managed to get my car placed in an overlap
It was daylight in the first, then in darkness in the other
Equally, I have also managed to confirm where I was working and on what date by finding my car at various locations I have worked at

I was able to date my earlier one within a day or so, a close up of a rose on a trellis shows the first bloom just showing some colour,  I had photographed the same rose at the same stage of opening on April 24 2009.

On Google Earth I can see my underwear hanging out to dry on the balcony of an apartment I lived in 3~4 years ago. Admittedly you wouldn't recognise it as underwear, but I recognise other items on the balcony from which I can deduce what the tiny pixellated blurs must be.

You can see my mum and dad sat in the garden having a cuppa :-)

Why are they trespassing in Jon's garden? :confused2:
And who drew that big dog?

bridgiesimon

you are all lucky, our house is still shown as a building site on Google Earth, we've been living here 5 and a half years now!!

Sounds like a painful experience.

I think it is as people StreetView seem to loose all their facial features so must be painful  :D
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Streetview of my house shows that it's recycling collection day (green boxes stacked at the bottom of the driveway), and a car I had to get rid of about 3 years ago (gearbox u/s)... Google Earth shows an older image with a driveway pre-modifications and an even older (company) car I had...

I use to go that & you could go other the Northside bridge in workington, but its defiantly old, as that bridge got destroyed in the floods, back in 2009,

Just been to have a look, and my estate is not on Streetview - yet the estate was completed 5 years ago, and my house is 9 years old. I feel quite let down.  :confused1:
