Like the sound of the Seaside Excursion set, mainly for the 4F.

Will there shortly be some track and a controller for sale in the classifieds on here Ollie? Can't help but recall you were after a green wasp stripe 08 without weathering  :D

I like the sound of the Countryside Coal Digital Set with a SDJR 3F, there could then be an E-Z Command Digital Control Centre and a oval of track with siding in the classifieds.

Make that two controllers and loops of track!

Looks like they announced some things now as they'll be in the shops this year, because they're not releasing their full 2014/15 programme until July.

I'm encouraged by their announcement of new train packs without extra track, Hornby's done these for years, and it's a long overdue initiative.

The Midland 4F pack is their Great War release, obviously.

Farish produced a J94 in Longmoor blue livery some years ago so their planned train pack of WD and Mk1s complement each other.

The other surprise is they're including a model of Ais Gill signalbox with the Duchess of Hamilton train pack. May this be the start of a set of buildings covering the Settle and Carlisle line?
It's 25 years ago this year since the line was reprieved from closure by the transport secretary.

My guess for Farish's 25th anniversary pack will be a special boxed edition containing models of class 47 D1989 with 3 Mk1s and class 03 D2014 with four or five wagons.

Two other locos numbered 1989 and 2014 were built by the North Eastern Railway and kept their pre-group numbering by the LNER until 1946, when their entire fleet was re-numbered:

J25 0-6-0 1989
D20 4-4-0 2014

As well as the tooling costs involved, both classes are available in the Union Mills range so I suspect they're non-starters.

Another possibility could be a LNER K3 numbered as 1989 (post-1946 numbering) which would be a welcome development as a mixed traffic loco available in this scale.

2 digital train sets, 3 dc train sets, and 4 train packs. Things must be looking up for Bachfar.

Anybody noticed the OO (sorry for mentioning the scale) digital train set with sound with the e-z command controller, so it looks like the basic controller can do sound.

Back to N. I have notice the digital sets have sidings so I wonder what they have used to make the layout all live it would interesting to see what size staples they use if any cause I tried using small staples to make my layout live and it didn't work.

The fact they have got 2 digital train sets gives me encouragement to try again to make my layout all live.

Mostly comprising locos only on pre-order at the moment. So not just getting rid of overstocked stuff.

Excellent choices, I think I will buy the Longmoor military Railway set.

We'll done Bachmann
