Wow, haven't heard the Ohio Players in a few.

Moonglum

I doubt this Grammy award winning guitarist has featured on this thread before, so here is Pat Metheny with "Here to Stay" from the 1995 album "We Live Here", smooth...

Pat Metheny collaborated with David Bowie and produced "This is not America"...

Very nice Tim.
Not so sure about the DB collaboration but yes PM is definitely on my radar.

Sadly the type of music in the Pat Metheny clip did nothing for me. I kept expecting Huggy Bear to appear!! (Antonio Fargas in 'Miami Vice')

Moonglum

OK, let's remind ourselves of Huggy Bear...

Composed by Tom Scott, Tom Scott and the LA Express were Joni Mitchell's backing band around her "Court and Spark" era. Mick, I don't think you meant Miami Vice!

I stand corrected. I remembered it was Starkers & Crutch but it came out wrongly as 'Crocketts Theme' was playing at the time

Let's just hope it was a minor aberration :worried:

Starsky & Hutch.

Just a little thing. My childhood torn asunder.   :D  :beers:

This probably won't be a great hit with those that read this thread but here goes :

The Bluetones have been a favourite of Mrs PP and I almost since their inception in 1996.
Indeed we have seen them live on several occasions - probably 11 or 12 times.

For those who don't know their music they sit somewhere between The Stone Roses and Oasis in the Brit indie/ pop rock genre.

Leader and singer Mark Morris has an engaging somewhat nasal style but his enunciation is particularly clear.

Anyway here is Cheap Hotel from their new album :

Incidentally their usual set ending rendition of their much earlier (2001 I think) song "If" is, to my mind, one of the best and most rousing finishes to a concert that I've heard but you have to be there to appreciate it properly.

Others will, of course, disagree.
