Short but good!
I like that but then I liked the first posting that you made a while back.

A bit like a cross between early Hawkwind and, for those who know them, early Black Widow.

Quote from: Moonglum on April 26, 2026, 08:30:56 PMI missed them first time around but a little while ago a friend lent me a DVD of a live concert by Whitesnake recorded in 2004. It had a bonus CD with it which I copied and played to death!

Mick @Newportnobby you might like this... Deep Purple of course...

I think that is Animal from the Muppets on drums...

"Ain't No Love" is worth a listen.
You know what I'm going to say to that...........??  :D

Another delve back into ancient times.

I was never hugely into Emerson, Lake and Palmer but did really like Just Take a Pebble from their self titled debut album.

Here is a video from 1970.

Don't they look young!

PS Another clip tomorrow, or maybe even later today, from a not too well known 70s prog rock outfit that I saw live once, as a support act, but had completely forgotten about until I came across them again last night.
Any guesses?

Dunno why I ever thought the Nice were so great. Or ELP, for that matter. Short of things to listen to back then, I guess  :worried:
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Moonglum

One of my favourite ELP tracks as well, a bit of a King Crimson thing going on there!

Tim

PS Martin @port perran , I didn't think for a millisecond that you would like Whitesnake!

Newportnobby

I have the 'Best of Nice' album but only really like tracks I can count on one hand.
ELP a different kettle of fish in that I saw them twice and have their first, Trilogy, Pictures and Tarkus albums.
With both Nice and ELP I enjoy the classical/prog crossovers
