@Foxhound - Abrasive Trees sound interesting. I'd like to hear a bit more especially as they are reasonably local to me as well as you.
Potential Plymouth gig on June 20th, venue not confirmed yet. 2 days before my 57th birthday, so would be rude not to if it does happen. I'll let you know if they do formalise it.
This vid is a couple of years old but this gives you a feel for them

I'd never come across them until today as far as I know but Niacin caught my ear this afternoon popping up on a jazz/rock/fusion playlist.

See what you think :

Love it Martin @port perran , with the mighty Denis Chambers on drums (Steely Dan etc,). Good find...

I never tire of hearing this Hawkwind track. Superb bass courtesy of the late, great Lemmy and metronomic drumming/fills by Simon King

Hawkwind played at the University of Strathclyde Students' Union during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when the venue was a notable hub for rock and punk in Glasgow.

My second home 1977 to 1981

Venue Context: The Strathclyde Union, specifically its old John Street location, was known for hosting top bands in the mid-to-late 70s and early 80s, including Hawkwind, The Ramones, and Talking Heads.

Performance Vibe: Mentions of Hawkwind at the Union often recall it as a high-energy, typical "space rock" experience, occasionally supported by members like Nik Turner.

Era: The gig is frequently mentioned in the same context as late 70s/early 80s gigs by other artists like Motörhead (circa 1980) and Ramones (1977).

I saw the 'Space Ritual' at Wembley sometime in the 70s.

Maybe the weather here (dull, cold and wet) has pushed me into listening to some blues this morning. The likes of Jeff Healey (seen at Nottingham), Steve Ray Vaughn (never seen) and Steve Marriott (seen at Northampton) have featured along with, of course............

Moonglum

I first saw Hawkwind on the "Space Ritual" Tour at The Sundown Edmonton (North London) on 29 December 1972. If you (Mick @Newportnobby ) saw them on the same tour it was probably at The Empire Pool Wembley on 27 May 1973?

Cheers,
