Always loved this mix of classical minor harmonic scales and tunes woven into metal.

Phew.... I go out for the morning and end up with lots of music to listen to.

In the end it was an easy selection for me.

Kraftwerk - I've never been a fan.

Section 25 - interesting and listenable.

Claire Hamill - as with much of her stuff I'm still on the fence.

Metal Heart - Just a no.

Nightwish -  A racket  :D

Oh dear - not much there for me today.

Great to see some more metal!

Whilst building benchwork.

Spend as little as possible on what you need so you can spend as much as possible on what you want.

Stingray.

Crikey, not looked in here for a bit and Section 25 have been up. Still going, and still as good as I remember them when I was 15 and they played a backstreet dive here in Plymouth, with James and The Three Johns on the same bill.

Bonnie Raitt - agree. Haven't listened to her for a while though. Thanks for the reminder.

Another band not getting much of a mention - REM
(not to everyone's taste, I know)

This is very suitable for watching trains running around the layout at near prototypical speeds ... a video soundtrack ... with occasional sidetrack cameos on industrial scenic details ... I must get my record deck fixed ... I note that there are several examples of suck it and see double vinyls on eBay at the moment!
