Some old U2, from 'Under a blood red sky', through 'Joshua Tree', No line on the horizon' and 'All that you can't leave behind', with oddments like 'Miss Sarajevo' with the heart rending Pavarotti (aka The Passengers) and, of course, this epic from Live Aid

Never sure what to make of U2, some of their early stuff is quite good. I have "No Line on the Horizon" on CD but rarely play it so must have another listen. There was a free download on iTunes of the album "Songs of Innocence" but it was not very good (IMO). I think I had "The Unforgettable Fire" on a pre-recorded tape at one point.

I never rated U2 and still don't I'm afraid.

I've been a fan since 1978, and have been to all of their Sydney concerts. Though I will say that the main thing wrong with the concerts is you come away feeling like you've been bashed over the head with the Bono bible.
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Used in many an advert, this may strike a chord with some. I couldn't get on with the rest of the album, though

Sounds like the sort of music played before a funeral service to me.

I came across this very early Fairport Convention clip today.
It's from 1968 and, I think features Richard Thompson with Martin Lamble on drums.
Possibly Judy Dyble on recorder and vocals?
I prefer Fairport from a slightly later date and for me Liege & Lief was a masterpiece but this is very interesting  and, Ithink, a bit of a gem.

A great little un Fairport like jam at the end.

Edit ] I think that's Ashley Hutchings on bass if my memory serves me correctly.

That is almost certainly the late Judy Dyble, probably just before she was ""unceremoniously dumped" in favour of the late Sandy Denny. Richard Thompson is unmistakable and that is most probably the late Martin Lamble on drums as he died in 1969 in a road accident. The other vocalist is Iain Matthews along with Simon Nicol on guitar and Ashley Hutchings on bass. Of the three tracks here I like "Nova Nevada" the best.

Judy Dyble had a modest career and only appeared on Fairport Convention's first album. She was briefly in a fore runner of King Crimson and released her last album "Summer Dance" in 2018* before she died in 2020.

Here is a song from that album...

Thanks for posting Martin @port perran .
