Arguably one of the most beautiful songs ever written

And one everyone should have in their collection

I would certainly agree about Steely Dan's "Do It Again" Mick @Newportnobby . One of the best bands during the 70s. Not so good after "Gaucho" and Donald Fagin's output has been patchy since "The Nightfly"...

How about some "Ruby Baby"...

I would also agree regarding Do it Again and yes, Steely Dan were a highlight of the later 1970s.

I also rather liked some of the output from The Dukes of September involving Donald Fagan.

As for Queensryche, it's not something I've heard before but sorry - it doesn't float my boat at all I'm afraid.

As for Ruby  Baby - a very nice little ditty indeedy.

Love both! My buddy introduced me to Queensryche while we were both stationed in Japan in 90-91 timeframe.

Martin @port perran , I had to look up "The Dukes of September" as I had not heard of them only to discover that they were originally "The New York Rock and Soul Revue" a supergroup, I have their live CD "Live at the Beacon". So, I thought that we could some "Pretzel Logic"...

With Michael McDonald... well worth a listen

It's a complicated old world Tim @Moonglum.

I hadn't heard of The New York Rock and Soul Revue. That is  a great version of Pretzel Logic there.

Just to complete the circle, here's The Dukes of September (Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs) with Lowdown :

Absolutely superb Martin @port perran ! I missed "Lowdown" first time around, a "girl" friend had "Raw Silk" as well as "Year of the Cat" Al Stewart, "Argus" Wishbone Ash and "Brothers and Sisters" Allman Brothers which had greater appeal at the time.
