#5910
I was in Bristol yesterday for the 2025 Whisky Festival which was, as usual, very enjoyable and, of course, I purchased a couple of very interesting bottles.
For anyone interested in whisky they were an independent bottling (by Cadenheads) of a Knockdhu 13 year old matured in ex rum casks (54.1%) and an Annandale non peated Sherry Cask edition bottled at 61.5%. I think a few drops of water will be required with those two.

After the festival my two mates and I enjoyed a lovely meal in a nice tapas bar in the evening on the harbour side very close to the Bristol Docks Railway.
There was a musical event on the other side of the harbour and we were treated to a session by one of my favourite Indie bands - Cast.
I had no previous knowledge that the show was taking place but it brought back some great memories of the late 90s/ early 2000s.

Here's a snippet of Cast live in Liverpool :
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Could be worse... Rod Stewart at Glastonbury, for instance  ;D
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Ana Popovic has popped up on my radar lately.
If you like a bit of guitar music this might interest you.
There is a 2-3 minute intro from her band but the whole thing is well worth a listen in my opinion.

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I'm confused as to what the selling point was. the music or...

Back Street Luv was one of my favourite singles from the early 70s from a really good LP - Curved Air 11
I saw Curved Air just the once when BSL was in the charts.

And although I'm not a huge fan of Guns n Roses I do like November Rain.
I saw them, dragged along kicking and shouting by my daughter, with The Cure at Milton Keynes Bowl in the late 90s.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.
