Lost the short cuts on home page

I'm not getting any of the following -  See all unread posts, ditto since last visit, show own posts and show own topics   not sure if I have the wording absolutely correct, but should give an idea what's missing.

So now I'm having to go through every board with an unread signal. PITA time!

On the top right hand side of the screen you will see a small white chevron.

Your chevron will be pointing downwards, if you click on it the missing items will reappear.

I Didn't get the 404 message
but the forum was running slow for me around that time

Yes, server trouble I'm afraid.  It lasted for about 25 minutes I believe.
