The forum will soon be announcing a Photographic Competition so I want everyone to have a heads up on this before it goes into the NGF Project section.

Photos must be railway related - model railways, real railways and from any country.
Maximum of 2 entries per member
Please keep a note of where & when the photo was taken and also what equipment was used.
Stills only please.
Closing date 31st March 2013

That's all I can say about it until we have sorted out how you should submit your photos, but I am in contact with some well known persons to find a judge and they will be announced at a later date. Who knows, some of us may even get some snow for that wintry shot. So carry your camera around with you or dig out a photo you think will do the trick - I wanted to give everyone plenty of notice. :camera: :camera: :camera:

Looking forward to this.
Thank You

Good idea with the photo comp. Just hope we don't get any snow this year or next!
Don't think I could deal with freezing cold temps, burst pipes, long traffic jams, local councils running out of salt, pavements not being gritted, trains delayed/cancelled more than normal, shops running out of milk and bread and generally bad times for everyone!

Rant now over :-X

looking forward to March 31st, at least we get some decent daytime From then afterwards!

I've got some old pictures I took (prints too so I'd need to scan them) but I can't remember where I took them. I know what camera I would have used though. Can I enter those?

I don't want to be over strict and make the compo a pain to enter, so I guess as long as you can prove somehow they're 'all your own work', then yeah.
Who knows - someone may be able to tell you where you took them ;)
