Just wondering what jobs other people get up to on a Sunday ?
We have 2.5 allotments so this morning picked up a load of manure which I then forked onto the allotments.
Then....made two trips over to Swanpool beach at Falmouth to pick up two loads of rotting seaweed. Again, to be spread over the allotments.
Dodged the rainstorms and hoping for good crops next year !
Now, at last, I can do a bit of work on the railway !!
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I managed to force myself to watch the F1 Grand Prix  :tv:
Not much else I want to watch on the tv tonight so try and find something else to pass the time  ;)

cheers John.

Just keeping on top of the usual household duties......bins, hoovering, cleaning, washing up, washing.....breakfast's, lunch, dinner for my wife, two year old and 3 week old.  Also a billion leaves have fallen in the garden. :scowl:

Lots I'd love to be doing....  Finishing the welding on two locks on the garden gates, re-doing the electrics in the potting shed, finishing the garden lights, insulating my workshop, painting interior of workshop (to stop the plywood going mouldy again!).....  *sigh*

Leinster Rugby are playing Ospreys now- so you watch that on either RTEOne if you have it or SC4.  Unfortunately Leinster have a weakened team this evening due to both injury and International players being called up.  So having watched the F1 you can go on to have a couple of beers and watch the rugby...

And remember:-
What chores?  Mines a pint....   :beers:

Watch rugby??

I'd rather be doing Tank's hoovering, cleaning, washing up, etc  :D
(and no Tank, that wasn't a bona-fide offer before you ask  :P )

Sunday is lazy day around here, we try to do the household stuff bit by bit during the week instead. Only real 'job' today is defrosting the freezer so we can run it down a bit in time to fill it with Christmas goodies  :food:

Forgot to mention, we're off to the local firework display at half six, then back home where I'm cooking honey & black pepper soft-shell crab with coconut rice

Sunday morning is reserved for General knowledge crosswords. Despite not being able to get the Sunday papers for the last 7 years Mrs H and I still retain the ritual as our son sends us the Mail & Express GK puzzles.  We DO NOT use the internet as we have a vast collection of reference books and it keeps the brains occupied. Around about "Beer o'clock" I have a bloody mary (Does it qualify for one of my 5 a day ?) and we usually finish about 2 ish, with a break for lunch. Sometimes if we have had visitors, there may be the makings of a BRITISH breakfast then its back to the modelling...
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Sunday morning spent vacuuming/dusting. Collapse and watch the F1 (full of incident) plus the F1 forum. Not one Bloody Mary for me, let alone 5 of 'em (Jerry :telloff: ;))
Catching up with the forum now before making some tea. Will be ironing the weeks work shirts during Antiques Roadshow and will watch the last Downton Abbey then Harry (Enfield) and Paul (Whitehouse) before hitting the sack.
Exciting, eh ::)

Ha! -your post reads as if you do :P
Hope you put Worcester Sauce in 'em

(Yes, yes, I know all about the Govt thing but never do what they suggest as it's usually about a year later they tell you the complete opposite :veryangry:. How many times have they told us that chocolate or red wine is good for you then bad for you then good for you etc ::))

Mrs Jonclox has an allotment that she love spending time working on
Today tho she would have needed a boat to spread the manure from as we have had nonstop rain for about 3 days this week.
Even our road threatened to flood this morning

Not really from my side as we bloody lost.  It really was a game of close but no cigar..  We have now lost as many games thsi year as we did last.  Time to stop messing around...

Anyway have the chore of sitting back watching the telly and drinking a beer now...  Oh and - A Tomato is a fruit and thus one of your 5 a day (even with Vodka & Worstershire Sauce)...

Pete Mc

Well today,I got up bright and not too early and had a ride to Barnsley for the Barnsley Model Railway Exhibition. As its only a small show,I had been around it all in less than an hour.No n gauge bits were bought as there was nothing that you could consider as being a bargain. The only thing I thought of buying was a Metcalfe bus garage card kit.I need two of these so I can kit bash them into a small rope and chain factory. There was only one available so I opted to keep my money in my pocket until I've got two or possibly three to play with.
Once I arrived home,I loaded up my car with tools, plywood, wood, workmate, drill, saw and jigsaw and headed of to the missus's daughters house to box in some pipework behind the sink and toilet in her bathroom. After I'd done this I went to the missus's house for a nice roast sunday dinner which was as usual, marvellous.Top cook that lass is,let me tell you.
Rest of the day was spent lazing around watching telly.
Soon I'll be going out for some beer, not working tomorrow either, bonus.
I'm a happy bunny.
