Hi all,

I intend to try to re-livery Dapol HST 125 coaches to FGW Dynamic Lines. I do not have a model shop near me thus I shall be buying paint online. I have in the past bought paint online to find that it is not the correct hue, thus I wonder if anyone on this site has done re-liveried FGW. If so, what brand and hue of of blue is the nearest, and what hue of vermillion or whatever the door colour is called?

I am still hopefull to get some Electra Vynyl although to date I am unable to get a reply to my mails, but I wish to put a base colour on the sides first in the event that I am unable to correctly line the windows up.

I can't help with your paint query, having said that, I'll be getting an eye on this thread as one project I got in mind is a FGW HST in "Fag Packet"livery.

As for Adam at Electra, he is normally pretty quick. I know when I made an inquiry a few months ago, we swapped emails several times through the same evening. It is possible he may be playing catch up since holidays and TINGS.

As for putting a base coat on in case, you will actually need a paint free coach shell before the vinyls are applied.

Are Dapol not going to do another run of their HST in the FGW dynamic lines livery?
I have one and it is a great model, just waiting for additional coaches dur out soon.

Alledgedly Dapol are bringing out more HST FGW Coaches Simon, but I am impatient. I have some on order, but I need a full length train by December.

I have bought from Adam before with an excellent service and am hopefull that I shall get a reply from him soon.

Has anyone applied his vinyls to Dapol stock?
