Very funny!  I almost laughed out loud when I read that!  While it may be true that in 1972 I was at the peak of my powers, some peaks can be fairly modest.  One way or the other, it's been all downhill ever since.

According to my 1964 Locoshed Book, Gateshead (52A) had all the Class 46 Peaks from D166 to D193 and I saw all of them.  Rather than York, the other Peak stronghold in the North was Leeds Holbeck 55A.

However, York and Gateshead were home to many Class 40 diesels in 1964.

thanks Ian. Appreciated. I had a laugh too when I read mick's post and yes I remember the 40s based in the area.

I was thinking there should be one with the "like" and other selected emoji waiting for selection at the bottom of each post.... so whenever there is a groaner the appropriate reaction can happen instantly ...  :)

Thou misunderstandeth sire! I dost mean it would be useful in the limited list of 8 instant reactions at the bottom of each post. A "groan" of "facepalm" would be good for instantly reacting to certain allegedly humorous comments  :D

I have a bigger problem on my phone. The second lot of smiley thingies are there, except when I access them, they instantly scroll down to the loco's and stuff, and won't scroll back up. So they are, in effect, inaccessible.

Not sure it's high on Tank's list of priorities to poll us as to which ones to have for instant access but my belief is the 'Thumbs Down' emoji is far too much for a 'groan'.
In the main, I try to keep 'groaners' in that thread :)

Yeah, I can't see Tank bothering with it, but may be wrong.
