It was a great couple of days away, if for nothing else, hearing how breakfasts should be done.

Unfortunately, sausages and baked beans were not an option as this was not a buffet breakfast, but a menu one, Mick.

Not guilty on the account, m'lud. It was billed on the menu as "Pavilion Breakfast", the name of the hotel being Banisters Pavilion.

I for one, can never stomach beans, or tomatoes as part of breakfast.
However a sausage or 2 are a must, and proper back bacon, none of this streaky stuff.

I also prefer shortcut bacon, but this was a gift, so beggars can't be choosers
