The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

Ltndon jones (former Hornby CEO) previously owned Oxford diecast and Oxford Rail before joining Hornby, and them purchasing the businesses from him was very likely because he couldn't continue to run them as competitors in his position within that organisation.

From what I have read he is a pretty savvy businessman and Oxford was previously a profitable business (with it's own factory). I can't see any mention of Oxford Rail being included so presumably the sale is limited to the diecast business?
