I've just this week seen preparations for Christmas getting underway, so I thought I'd get out "The Christmas Cracker"

One of the sets of lights was out, so I checked the wiring and found I needed a replacement.

All the lights came from "Layouts 4U" so I placed an order Thursday night at about 8.30, and the lights were with me 10.30 this morning (Saturday)

What fabulous service  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Just fitted them, and all is working fine

Ho Ho Ho !

All best wishes

Love it. Two questions;

1. What did you use for snow?
2. Should I be worried about Mrs Claus?  :D  :D  :D

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

Papyrus

You could have a festive mince pie while you are about it. Available now in Waitrose (best before 10/11...  ;D )

Hi All,

sorry you had a bit of a  :poop: week emjaybee, hope your weekend was better  :D

Glad you all like the layout, and it brings a smile. I really posted it up to draw attention to the excellent service from Layouts 4U where I got the lights from.

Can anyone guess how many bulbs are on the layout ?

Graham, the snow was Woodland Scenic https://www.hobbies.co.uk/woodland-scenics-soft-flake-snow on sculptamold, and I used their video to plan the scenics. I tried using a white silicon base, but got in a bit of a mess  :D  :-[  :D

Mrs Santa sends her love  :heart2:

I put one of Santa's helpers on the back of the coach, but I think she is a bit close to the red tail light

Incidentally, congratulations Andrew on being nominated by Alan to join the Groaner Thread

All best wishes

A lovely layout. Up to your usual very high standard, Kevin, with plenty to see. Did everyone notice the penguin pair?

Another fantastic seasonal layout in a vandal proof case for the retirement home not a pub ?

I wasn't looking at/for the penguin pair!  :)

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Hi All,

Not quite ready for a retirement home yet Chris  :P  but the layout is in a bullet proof case for the pub, where Mr and Mrs Trainfish have seen it in real life  :D

Glad you saw the penguins Chris  :D  :D  :D

In case you missed them (David  :D ), here they are ...

There are also several rabbits, a badger, two red squirrels a fox and a mouse (like that artist drew in his illustrations  )

Just last week I added a polar bear..... depending on which hemisphere the layout is set in either the bear or the penguins have had a long walk to meet up  ;) )

And there is also the Partridge in the Pear Tree .....

The partridge perched on the illuminated post (from Layouts 4 U) and the Pear Tree sign was from Scale Model Scenery

Anyway, now back to the harbour layout updates soon (promise  ::) )

All best wishes

Kevin

PS Can anyone guess how many lights are on the layout ?

What I meant @Phoenix Kevin was made instead of displaying in a pub maybe a retirement home to cheer up the residents

Love the vandal proof Box and Hope any charity tibs will be at the bar

Looks stunning Kevin.
