I have just seen this article on the BBC website about 'Olympic Oddities'...

The blue tongues have been put down to some nasty fizzy drink...but those of us who know and love Asterix the Gaul will see a rather amusing parallel between this and the adventure 'Asterix and the Olympic games'!

I have that very story in an omnibus in my cupboard...methinks its time to get reaquainted!

Seems to me the Asterix Olympics are considerably more interesting than the real thing...
