And so 2021 comes to a finish for MotoGP.
The top class was won by Fabio Quartararo at the end of October.
Moto3 class was won by Pedro Acosta last week.
Moto2 class was won today by Remy Gardiner (son of Championship winner Wayne Gardiner)
@Bealman and other Aussies

However, today also marked the last race of the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) - none other than Valentino Rossi of 432 GP starts who has now retired. He will be taking up 4 wheeled racing at the age of 44 but I know not what type of racing it will be. He'll be missed by many, even though he didn't have a competitive bike for the last 3 years or so.
Grazie, Vale

Such a shame that he has been so uncompetitive for the last few seasons, but the racer in him wouldn't let him call it a day at the top.

Be great to see him in DTM as many 'mature racers' seem end their days there, all his testing with the Ferrari F1 team hopefully pays dividend.

:claphappy: Ciao Vale  :claphappy:

Mr Sprue

I've always been a big fan of the Doctors.

Without any doubt he has provided the best racing I have seen from any rider. I'm going to miss seeing No 46 in the grid line up.  :(

Valentino is a living legend.  8)

Thanks, Mick. Gardiner actually came from my adopted home town here, and I met him when he had his moments of glory back then.
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

Something you might appreciate Mick,  just come across this youtube video of the Doctor at his best!

I remember that one well. There was quite a rivalry between Valentino and Jorge Lorenzo :)
(And an even stronger one earlier in his career with Max Biaggi)

LOL... Yes I can remember the Rossi Biaggi conflicts. Then there was Claudia Schiffer thing and the blow up doll!  :D

Here ya go got this from the web, I've edited the write up slightly!

This dates back to 1997 after Valentino Rossi won the 125cc race in Mugello. Max Biaggi at that time was dominating the 250cc world championship. (They had already exchanged some blows from each other in the press.!) A journalist asked Rossi if he was "the Biaggi of the 125cc". Rossi responded: "if anything, he is the Rossi of the 250cc".  This was the beginning of the rivalry between the two, even though they had not raced against each other yet.

Rossi's above celebration came at a time when Biaggi was dating a supermodel. Max Biaggi was gaining a reputation for dating supermodels. So Rossi decided to take an inflatable doll pretending to be Claudia Schiffer to mock Biaggi's persona.  :D

Thank you Mr Sprue. I actually googled it and came up with this too. I have no idea if this is Rossi but it's definitely not Claudia Schiffer

Her eyes are the wrong colour
