Yes October 2021 will be the 10th anniversary of Dapol's intention to produce both air-smoothed and modified versions of the Bulleid Light Pacifics !

Specification for these models will follow the A3 + A4 including our factory fitted magnetic coupler as standard and etched brass nameplates and crests.

I have a feeling that Dapol have given up on any new releases on N gauge steam locos. I may of course be wrong but it looks that way to me.

They seem quite content to do re-issues with different running numbers/names in steam era models. Not altogether bad as their prices are very keen when compared to Farish. If only they ran better as a general rule.
They seem to be concentrating on Diesels/modern era N gauge, and increasingly O gauge.
The Farish Autumn announcement didn't have much at all for me to get excited about.

Steam fans may have to rely on the new kid on the block, Sonic, to grow and come up with new steam locos.

The frustrating thing is that Dapol's squatting on the project discourages any other manufacturer from taking it on.

You are all obviously too young to remember the annually-announced-but-never-appearing Peco range of N gauge 0-6-0 tender locos "for all of the Big Four" which appeared in their catalogue every year from the late 1960s until the 1980s. (Or even 1990s?).  Dapol are just beginners.

I remember the Peco 45xx 2-6-2T and Dean Goods, oh and the Lima King and Western, but not much else.

The 2251 was meant to be the first of the "range", and to be fair it *did* eventually appear, albeit in a way that guaranteed poor sales.  Lima, of course, also advertised a J50 and now one is finally on the way.  So perhaps Dapol are just giving us a sneak preview of the release schedule for 2041...
