Gérard de Nerval was the nom de plume of the French writer, poet, and translator etc etc

with spring, and the recent dry / sunny / cold weather, the fields are drying out and HB has returned to his daily patrol of them.

blossom is out



and lambs gambol in the neighbouring fields, or not as they wish









however there is, as always with HB, a down side....

the mice are also re-appearing





together with HB's selective hearing ...
he can't hear me shouting in my best parade ground voice 'Oscar, HERE'



but he can hear the velcro tearing as I open a pouch on my vest to remove a biscuit  :'(




hence the need to return him to the lead



it is also quite surprising how much of a husky will fit into a mouse hole



still, he is eight years old next month [oh hell, is it only seven and a half years we've had the idiot ?]
so only another four, or so, till he calms down.

I just wonder if I will make it  :'(

anybody need a pair of bookends ?
