I'm a personality prototype... you can tell, can't you.

thanks for posting that vid

that guy is just brilliant  :o  :o

seen several clips of him in action, what he can't do with a R/C helicopter isn't worth doing

several years back i had a short spell with trying to fly R/C helicopters and well, all i will say is that it usually ended up
with me heading home with the helicopter in "component form" and not taken apart with a screwdriver  :smiley-laughing:  :smiley-laughing:  :-[

needless to say i didn't stick with that hobby very long  :-X

If it's got rails... you have my full, undivided attention - Steam, diesel and electric, 'tis all good !

It`s harder than it looks!!! Took me about 3 months just to hover 5ft above the ground, 6 months to fly a figure of 8. After 2yrs can do a few stunts but nothing like that!

These are some pictures of me with my first helicopter - taken about 30 years ago  :o
I still have this beast along with quite a few others
It is a great hobby and has kept me sane during my recent bad spell of ill health.
Flying at breakneck speed round the living room certainly hones up your reaction times.

The style of flying done by Alan Szabo in the video is called 3D.

This kid is Justin Lee, who was 7 years old in 2009 - have a look:

cheers John.

Brilliant Vid Nick!

I did wonder how many heaps of junk he made just practising to get to that level.
Today's Experts were yesterday's Beginners :)

Trainfish

That's rubbish. Neither of them can even fly them in a straight line. They both looked out of control and nearly crashed several times. More practice required I think.  :smiley-laughing:
