If you know someone who's depressed, please resolve never to ask them why. Depression isn't a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather.Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they're going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It's hard to be a friend to someone who's depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest, and best things you will ever do."

(PLEASE NOTE: Unless where obviously posting on behalf of the NGS, all posts and views are my own and not connected/endorsed by the Society.)

Thanks for the update Scott.

Pleased to see M7 progressing.

Shocked (although maybe not) at BoB/WC as the catalogue (online dated September 19) says at CAD stage and expected in shops late 2020. Even allowing for Covid how has this mythical product has gone backwards yet again!

Pleasing to see though the high window stock is on track for arrival soon.

Also noted from their website more A1, A3 and A4 models arriving soon.

Humph, not even a mention of the 59.

So, either Revolution take the plunge or I start working out which body parts I can live without and try and find a CJM version.

Anybody wanna by a kidney?

HIA? That's a re-release surely, why is there any livery consideration?

The 59 has never been back in production surely? It was mooted years ago, then cancelled, there's never been a suggestion it's back on the table.

You could hack up/pretend a 66 is a 59. Not so good for a 59/0, but the body is basically the same for a 59/1 or 59/2. I keep considering printing a replacement solebar and bogie frames for a Farish 66. Still leaves the exhaust silencer, but that may be a step too far!

Hi

Grahame Hedges did this a few years ago and I think it was published in the magazine he used to write (not the NGS journal). If I get chance over the weekend I'll have a look as I have all the magazines upstairs.

So is "artwork review" after or before "artwork underway"? I'm looking forward to some more 142s and a West Country, eventually.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

I am consistently told by Joel (at TINGs and Warley, when they happened) that the 59 is still a goer.

Clearly it's so far back up the pipe this statement is more like a land grab

The article on converting a 66 to a 59 was published recently in the NGS. The excercise intrigued me but relies on CJM bogie frames, so unless somebody does 3D print some, this is a non starter for me.

If only there was someone here with a 3D printer who's mentioned doing just that...  :hmmm:  ;)

Was your statement that put it in mind...

Afraid I am not going to add the conversion to my project list just yet. Definitely needs an air brush to do it justice anyway.

Last I heard Dapol were saying 2022 for the 59..

Hope that helps!

Not seen any suggestion of that, but maybe. Perhaps I'm giving them too much credit to assume they'd actually check livery variations by individual wagon running numbers!

If true helps my wallet and my organs (not least because SHMBO won't threaten bits of me when I buy two, instantly).

So the BoB/WC isn't even in CAD. That suggests we won't see it before 2022 at the earliest. How very disappointing.

By the time we see it (or more likely if we see it) I won't remember what it looked like and what it was for ::) :unimpressed: :censored:
