Jimmy does have 587 test wickets. Be great if he can strike 600 on his home ground

A definite possibilty........the selectors would'nt drop rest him though.......would they?  :worried: ::)

My prediction is:
England to grind out 45 ish and be bowled out by 12.30.
Windies then  7-3 at lunch.

At tea Windies 140-5

Then.......it'll be close  :D

I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Stuart broad has a decent record at manchester. The two to drop out archer on rotation and the return of root will mean crawley at 3 meaning denly will miss out

Well done West Indies, better team won. Full credit to them as well for travelling over in the midst of everything that's going on, not many teams would've done that.  :claphappy: :claphappy:

I'm glad I leave reading this thread until I've actually watched the BBC highlights! :P

I'm not shocked as he was not particularly effective at the last test

You could say that about one or two others  ;)

Presumably Woakes and Broad will step in for Anderson and Wood.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

It seems that Joffra Archer has done something stupid and is now dropped from the second test.
Who will replace him? Wood, Anderson?
We shall see.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Archer's shot his bolt as far as this test goes. Why do the young always think rules don't apply to them? ::)

Philip.

Jofra Archer aside, not a bad day in the end. If they can kick on tomorrow and get up to 400/450 they'll have done well. Windies bowling looked really off today.
