Just recently flicking through the setrack book which I found when looking through some boxes of train stuff. Looking at al the pictures in there and it got me wondering if anybody vases there layout on the plans and if so how it turned out. Would love to see what people made of them after seeing rough drawings in the book.

Yes, mine is based on a set track plan from the Peco book, but adapted, added to and using flexitrack.

Could I ask plan you based it on and what it's called so I can search for it on here. I'm a always intrigued to see different people takes on the same subject. I keep looking at the plans and thinking I wonder what this looks like when it's built and how two people's version of it differs.

I drew inspiration from the double loop one (cant remember what they call it in the book  ) but then tweaked it accordingly.

Mine topic is called "Hadley park" in the layouts construction area.

HOLLERTON JUNCTION is based on the Commercial Road layout built for Hornby by Scenic Model Railways:

The layout has appeared in various Hornby catalogues and advertising over the years.  Most of the buildings used on the OO version were also available in Hornby's Lyddle End range for N gauge.

Another SMR layout is Friarsgate which is based on one of PECO's plans.  It fits in to the classic 5' x 2.5'.

Finally, in the PECO book you will also find a version of Farish's (Poole) Magnum II layout which has some interesting ideas.
