Good news.

Well for me in any case.

Just woke up after falling asleep on the settee and thought I'd see if my mobile would be granted access to rmweb on the browser.

The result was a yes,so I'm gonna scour the layout construction area for n gauge layouts we don't see here,if thats alright with everyone else. :)

I can only assume that my previous problem was due to the web hosting, but as I know precisely next to nowt about this I'll assume that someone knows more than I do.

Pete

Its my train set and I'll run worra want!

I see RMWeb has become part of the Warners family!!!!

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/53025-rmweb-is-now-part-of-the-warners-family/

Warners have taken 'ownership' of RMWeb and it looks like Andy York is now working for Warners as well. Whilst this is good news for Andy, in that he now has a job, I'm not so sure how this will affect RMWeb as an 'independent' forum!!!

I know Andy will have tried his hardest to keep it independent, but I just wonder how it will look in, say, 12 months time??

Regards

Neal.

Better I think than had he not done that. It's grown into a monster and it was eventually going to eat its parents alive. Now he's got a dream job and a chance to tame the beast.

You know, thats not as daft an idea as it may sound!!!

DEMU have their own forum, admittedly its run on a voluntary basis, but DEMU pay the running costs (I believe) so why not the NGS having their own???

:smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:  Well, if they pay the asking price of 20 million pounds, then I wouldn't argue!   ;) :D

As for the NGS - I've sent message upon message to them about such a thing, and so has Lawrence.  We get promises that they'll review it at their next committee meeting, but we hear nothing back.  I've also written to model shops asking if they'd like advertising, and to put special offers on the forum, but they don't respond.  Even Dapol and Bachmann don't bother to respond!!!!
