So sad to hear that.  He was a lovely guy and was a great moderator on here during the earlier years.  RIP Jon.  All the best to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear about this. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family during this tragic time.

This is more sad news for, and about, forum friends. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I've just looked at his profile and see he has the also-much-missed Peter Charles Fagg as his buddy. I can imagine them together having a good old running session in their "better place", at peace, and applying Rule 1.

Thanks to John's family for passing it on, also to NewportNobby for letting us all know.

Very sad news indeed - I used to enjoy his posts and he was so helpful. My condolences to his family.
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

A very sad loss, his good humour in the face of his problems was an example to us all. My condolences to his family and friends.

You know you're getting older when your mind makes commitments your body can't meet.

Very sad news indeed. Many thanks to all involved in informing us. My sincere condolences to Jon's family and friends. I always enjoyed his posts and very much admired his relentless enthusiasm and determination despite his continuing health problems. I also hope that he will now be able to build his ultimate layout, in a better place, without any problems and then watch the trains go by as he had always wished.
