Hi Guys
My 'Night and Day' child's livery class 66 (Dapol) arrived today. Very nice it is too.

Its yet another addition to my collection of 66s. This got me thinking that there must be others who have a fetish about a particular loco, and buy the next one, whatever the livery.

So how many class XX have you got?

These are the rules:
Must be N gauge,
Must be runners (no dummy locos, no bodies only, no shared chassis, no spares, no del prado etc etc)
Must be recognised as a specific class (a 107 is not a 108, a 66/4  and 66/7 are 66's)
Mods are OK, ie a 66 converted to 59 is fine, but it only counts as a 59!
I'll accept stuff not from these shores (UK) but I'll have to rely on your honesty.
Steam, electric and diesel all count.
SWMBO must not know  :smiley-laughing:

So I'll kick off:
My new 66 makes a total of 21......

can you beat that?

cheers
Kirky

I can't compete with 21 locos, but I have 7 Japanese EF64s. Two each from Tomix and Micro Ace and three from Kato.

Newportnobby

For some reason mine appear to be in pairs so I don't have more than 2 of any class (yet) e.g. 2 x 24, 2 x 25, 2 x 40, 2 x 42, 2 x 47, 2 x 52, 2 x 101, 2 x Q1, 2 x Brit, 2 x 9F, 2 x MN.
Strange - until you asked the question I hadn't realised just how many 'twos' I've got.

I have a 9F addiction 3 x minitrix and 1 x dissapointing Dapol but it looks so good.

Need more........
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

I have a stable of x4 class 60's, x2 58's, x10 08's, x13 47's, x9 37's amongst at least one or two models of less mainstream UK diesel class's (class 73's, for example) and I love em all :)

Amateurs, the lot of you!  ::) You're no match for my vast, profound collection of..
..approximately one loco; a Dapol 121, en route to me via post.
;D

All my locos are either Japanese or American - so they are all Class  ;D

SD35

Not a lot of one class really.

US - 4 x SD70MACs (all in BN executive livery)
UK - 5 x 47 (but this includes 2 poole built and 1 minitrix one which, along with all my other poole built stock, will never see the light of day again)

Elvinley

5 x Farish Duchess
5 x Farish Warship
5 (or maybe 6) x Dapol Prairie
4 x Farish class 14 (now 3 as one is on ebay)
4 x Dapol 73
3 x Farish B1
3 x Farish 04
3 x Farish 47
3 x Farish 108
3 x Farish Royal Scot.

My biggest Class is the 08's, and I think I must have 12-15 of them.  All of them are the old Poole version, except one I painted into British Army DPM - which is the first China style.

Mustermark

I currently have 16 Farish Westerns (Class 52).

I am waiting for the Dapol Western now before getting more.  I will see what Western Venturer turns out like and maybe buy a small handful to rename...

I have 5 x 66's, 5 x 108s, 5 x 47s, 3 x 121s, 3 x 37s, and then ones and twos of a few sorts.

But it was Westerns that I got obsessed by. ;D

I'm a bit like Newportnobby in that I have two of most of my fleet apart from Deltics and class 47's.I have 2 deltics(KOYLI and The Green Howards)plus a DP1 because I like em.I have 3 class 47's,no idea why cos as a kid I thought they were like blancmange, too much and you were sick of it,but they look great in n gauge.

I have 1 class 121 bubble car,2 class 37's,2 class 108 dmu's,pride of my fleet being my 2 class 43 hst 8 coach sets.

All my other classes of loco are in the single numbers, these being a class 101 dmu, class 58,class 24 in RTC livery and an old poole farish class 56,but this doesn't count because its a dead loco, however it will be joined by one or two Dapol 56's when they arrive.Rail's beware!

Most of my fleet reflect what I used to see running through Doncaster as a kid with the possible exception of the class 24 and 121 bubblecar,I also remember either 1 or 2 class 50's being used around here for a short time,I think one was the loco that crashed at Paddington and came to Doncaster Plant for accident repairs before going back down to the western region,so if Farish do a retool on this loco with lights and stuff,I might have to buy one of them as well.

I already have plans to buy 2 Dapol 56's,one more 101 dmu and depending how they turn out, perhaps a couple of Dapol 142 pacer units.I may even consider a 150 as well,so as it stands, even though I always thought dmu's weren't proper trains as a kid,I do have a bit of a thing for them.

Good grief, the horror of that last sentence may be the death of me.

Epitaph:Even though he loved proper loco hauled passenger and freight trains,he had a hidden thing for dmu's.

Oh the shame of it.

For a long time getting one example of a accurate French N scale loco was difficult. Since the boom of recent years, I now have about 5 x Piko SNCF 66000, 5 x Minitrix 67300, 6 x Minitrix CC6500
