Even though we knew it was coming, to be actually told is such a shock. Like a lot of members, I only knew Peter through his posts and, because of his posts, I feel I did know him. I can not add anything to what has already been said.

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Although I knew the end was nigh, this is still a terrible shock. Peter was larger than life and his most recent topics and posts showed just how much he cared for members here. RIP Peter.

I will never forget the rather large gentleman in khaki shorts, glasses, large hat and brown brogues who shook my hand vigorously at TINGS a couple of years ago.

That's how i will remember him too.
A larger than life character with a great sense of humor,
My condolences to Peter's family and close friends. He will be very much missed....... :NGaugersRule:

Have only just read this.

Always a shock and so sad. I never met him but communicated in posts and he came across as a gentleman and a funny man. Reading the posts of people who did meet him he was just that.

A sad loss to the Forum and the World.

RIP Peter.

Will miss you, weave.

Very sorry to hear this sad news he will be missed by a lot of people

I  will always remember the phone calls we had, usually when he needed help for one thing or another. Once the problem had been resolved, the rest of the call was always filled with the pair of us laughing our heads of by telling jokes, most of which could not be published on the forum, and Peter recounting humorous parts of his truly eccentric life.

Like everyone before me I shall miss Peter and may he be at peace.

This is sad news

I never met Peter, but I must say having struggled to actually start my layout. I found Peters posts
an insperation to carry on and not chuck the lot out.

I initially traded with Peter through eBay, and subsequently I had the pleasure of meeting him at TINGS.
I was very saddened to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his family. I have fond memories of the chat we had on all things eBay and N gauge.
R.I.P Peter. A very sad loss.

I never actually had the privilege of meeting Peter but purchased equipment from him over the internet and via this website, not realising that he was probably selling due to his illness. From the transactions and our communications during it, I new instantly that he was a true gent. R.I.P. Peter.
