I thought it might be useful to summarise the list of Oxford Diecast models announced but not yet released as of mid-August 2015. Hopefully not too many errors!

items marked * are new tooling. Pre-production versions of these have been seen so are confirmed to exist. All others are new liveries.

One thing which stands out is the absence of cars from all eras. Back in May Oxford's MD said in a Facebook message "I get regular emails on the N scale suggesting that we are not producing enough. The market is smaller than the other scales, so our decision making is driven by the commercial realities. Our investment in the range continues and by the year end we will have released over 275 items in this range." One suggestion was that people who strongly believed that certain models would be a commercial success could commission them and reap the financial benefit from the investment. So put the shrink ray on the 00 gauge Ford Escort, Cortina, etc. and fill your N Gauge Society Cartic.

Too busy this week to take pictures but my AA motorcycle and sidecar arrived last week.   Despite fears that it was a 00 mistake it is in fact truly tiny.   I will find it again one day .....

Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

A bumper crop of new releases scheduled for release during the last week of July. 5 are completely new shapes, and the Transit van is a new livery.

NAEC001      AEC Matador - Royal Artillery France
NCA001         Bedford CA ice cream van - Walls
NCOM001     Commer Commando – RAF
NDEF007      Land Rover Defender LWB Hardtop – BR
NFT003        Ford Transit SWB  – RAC
NSFE002      Scania Pump Ladder – Sussex Fire & Rescue

Prices seem to be £3.95 for the cheapest up to £6.95 for the most expensive.

These are all on sale now, although the availability of the AEC Matador does not seem to be universal. The  Matador has catalogue No. NAEC008 rather than NAEC001 which I listed in error. Just can't get the proof readers!

the West Sussex fire & rescue Scania fire engine arrived today - I'd forgotten i had it on pre-order!

It's a lovely model but as the "WEST SUSSEX" is clearly visible may require a little modification to fit in on my north west based layouts  :D

Now if only Oxford could apply the shrink ray to some of their other post 1995 00 vehicles it would be much appreciated
There's so little in the way of 1:148 modern Cars available, my 8 year old niece asked me why the residential street on my layout looked like a truck stop!  :(

-I've 3 transits, 4 articulated trucks and a couple of the national express Paxton elites!

Rabbitaway

Jools

Tomytec - Japanese cars at 1/150

They are nice models of modern cars and if you select to right ones they look fine on a British layout

the AEC Matador ( labelled as Oxford Military - hopefully more shrink rayed models will appear? )

Can't fix this problem - turning the picture upside down on my iPad doesn't affect the uploaded image!!

Camera lens has to be on top when taking pictures!

I agree about the value, and Oxford seem to have got their act together on deliveries.

There is now only one of the October 2014 announcements not yet delivered, and four of the February 2015 announcements still to be delivered. Many of the recent releases are from completely new tooling which illustrates the OD commitment to N. Bit of a contrast with the Bachfar buses announced back in 2009, with one shape (Leyland PD2) and numerous liveries not yet delivered.

Oxford could usefully tool up for the remainder of the erstwhile Bachfar cars. They have already made the ford Anglia, Mini, FX4 taxi, Morris Minor saloon and traveller. Left are the Morris Oxford, Ford 100E, Ford Cortina Mk1, Ford E494 5cwt van, and Ford Capri, although Bachfar only used model names and not the marque names for their versions which probably means they were not officially licensed. The shape of some of them did not necessarily give away what they were intended to represent.

There are 15 of the June 2015 Oxford announcements still to be delivered, some of which are intended for early 2016. The next new items will be publicised around I October 2015.

I have added an updated list below:-

My Bobs hot dog vans are reserved for me from A A R Models but I won't get them or the Walls Icecream vans till November then it would be nice if someone cleverer than me could change one to Bobs Bergers but in the same style of text and colours.they will look great on my show ground .Of course if someone could  do one and bring it to TINGS wow that would be fantastic. One with Fish and Chips would be nice as well .
