Never mind the glass, chaps. How do I get this Polish bloke out of my shower? :help:

Leave him in there; chances are, he's mending it.

Ok, even though I'm on me tablet thingy and it's gettin' late here, I'm gonna hoe into this.

Mrs Bealman is currently on my back about one shower screen sheet of glass that just won't come clean.

It is almost like the soap scum has driven itself into pores in the glass, and no amount of scrubbing, squidgeeing, or solvents under the Aussie sun will get it off or out.

She's making noises about a new glass panel.

Ideas welcome!

Cut a Lemon in half and go over it with that AND if you combine it with vinegar as already suggested it should shift it?

Peter.

Don't tempt me, Peter. That bloke's been on my  :poop: list ever since he first appeared :veryangry:

Thanks for all the suggestions,  folks! I've only just got up, but I'll give them a try - if they work, great - if not, well at least SWMBO will see me having a go at it, and that's probably more important than getting it clean  :D

I've already tried bleach and IPA, both without success,  by the way.

On the subject of squeegees in showers, I've never regretted buying a Bodyflick - the human squeegee.  Use it on yourself - the water goes down the plughole rather than onto the floor or your towels.

What the heck is a Bodyflick? I had visions of having to clean the shower with me :moony: but it won't go up that high  :D

silly moo

We have a shower with a large area of glass, the crooks who put in said it had special water repellant glass that didn't need cleaning (No such luck) I left it without cleaning for quite a long time believing their story and it developed lime stains.

I managed to get most of the stains off by using half a lemon as a scrubbing brush. After that I treated the glass with some of that liquid you put onto windscreens to repel water.

Glass shower cubicles look really nice but are a lot of work to keep clean.

 It does a much better job than your hand or any other part of your anatomy, NPN!  It has different radii for your different bumpy bits and you could always use it for marking out transition curves to avoid derailments.

Have you tried one of them steam cleaner doodahs?
Yes but doesn't help a lot.
:thankyousign:

Bleach, undiluted? I generally find that gets rid of pretty much anything!
