Osbournes have mentioned that the 4-CEP is in stock - presumably they've airfreighted a few in for Warley. I'll be giving it a miss this year - finances are a bit stretched following a few months of unemployment.

I am depending on those going to take lots of pictures of all the mouth-watering goodies on offer.  :)

Obviously well in the minority but where are all the steamer fans, I'm still waiting for my Schools, I haven't the skills to build the Worsely Works kit and at my age time's running out!

Modern Image man myself but being born and dragged up in Sussex & Kent - "Southern for Sunshine" and all that....

A schools would be excellent - or an Arthur or even an L1..  A Spam Can, Pullmans and Golden Arrow brandings - now that would be awesome.....

It would be rather good if Bachmann scaled down their range for GF and Dapol scaled down Hornbys - but that is probably not commercially viable...  It could help some of us Southern people and our EMU's...   Although I understand that N-Train are working on a Networker Kit

Heres my prediction for Warley...

It'll be full of inconsiderate soap dodging camera weilding backpack swinging idiots that would rather stand on your feet, kick your heels, swing a weighty bag into your face or vocally curse you for being in their way rather than excise a modicum of decency towards other members of the attending public...just like it has been every year for as long as I can remember

There was a chappie on the Big H forums who was asking for tips about going to swapmeets etc. One of the things I suggested was not wearing a backpack. One poster wouldn't have it. Insists on wearing one. He wondered why I was suggesting anti-smellant under the arms too.  ::)

No BHE schools that I've ever seen. Only SR I can think of is the King Arthur which is easy to build with a bit glue but uses a black 5 chassis so looks poor with the vastly undersized wheels. Swapping the wheels might improve it a lot.

Only schools I can think of is the Del-Prade 1:160 cast blob. Maybe with a lot of dremel work usable but I've never seen it done.

I expect Dapol will eventually release a Class 33 as it seems a logical step from the Class 26. And I need loads....

Gerry

A 33 would be most welcomed by me! But (and you didn't hear this from me ;) ) a class 27 seems more likely to me...... (Remember, i didn't say anything of the sort)

Sorry EP. You are quite correct. I wasn't particularly making a reference to the Schools but to the King Arthur, as several peops seem to require SR steamers.

Gordini5

Has any one got any idea on a RRP for the Blue pullmans yet??

bees

Why on earth these companies insist on producing yet another SR EMU is beyond me, trains do go a little further north.  lmao  :smiley-laughing:

My personal opinion is produce the Class 304,  305,  308  and  504's

I know 504's wouldn't sell brilliantly but the rest were very popular units that ran further north aswell as around london!!!
........ and they would all come out of very, very similar moulds!!!
I like to start each day the same, sit up and take a deep breath!
First objective for the day achieved, woohoo!!!

Pengi

interesting comment bees. I guess it depends what era you are modelling. When I started in N a few months ago and wanting to model the modern era, I thought that the opposite was true as the modern image DMUs still in production were all outside of the old SR region and the planned modern EMUs were also north of London. My modern southern railway MU fleet thus comprises an XC Voyager and a Eurostar! However take your point regarding SR EMUs.
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy
