Please can somebody help me.
I want to know If Farish 1862 Locomotive old number is N gauge or 00, googling brings up old hatton adverts suggesting its 00 gauge.
There must be a web site with a list of old Farish catalogue numbers, the one given on this post previously doesnt work as it is no longer available on the web.
second, I guess that this Loco is a very old model, is it best avoided for technical merits as I want to use it not place it on show.
Kind regards from Fred.

Dancess

Hi,

Farish 1862 should be A4 Sir Nigel Gresley in blue and N gauge.
S&D lives on - sort of!

Fredastaire

Thanks for the reply , I just need to know if it's an old model best avoided or not!

Dancess

Yes, it is old, though saying that some of my locos date from the 80s and run quite well but much noisier than new models.

If you look on the Bachman Farish web site there is a list of discontinued items.
Go to:
Home page
Past products.
I dont know if it covers Poole products but it may help you.

Hi, the Bachmann Farish site old records don't show Poole old part numbers. I am hoping that somebody will know a web site giving the list. Presumably the list from the old 'link' previously given must be there on another new link.
Thanks Fred

Tried looking in an old catalogue? Sure someone on here has one they can scan.

Dr Al

1862 is not a really old model - it's one of the late English production items - 1997 to 2000.

Cheers,
Alan

I wasn't the first to make these available (thank ness-street for that) but I have included the old Graham Farish catalogues on my site, which coincidentally only covers Poole Graham Farish (since that is my interest). I am in the process of cataloguing stock with pictures, although this has so far only extended to diesel locomotives (and is still a work in progress, which you can find here: http://thefarishshed.com/production-gallery-2/ ) This project will, hopefully, extend to steam at some point.

I concur with you re 1862 being the A4Sir Nigel Gresley. On the catalogues page http://thefarishshed.com/catalogues/ scroll down to the bottom and click on the last catalogue icon. It can be found there.

I'm still searching for 1664 but can't seem to find it. Oh wait, that was a beer wasn't it!  :P  :pint:
