Just ordered from Hattons 370-400 the Longmoor Military Railway Train Pack with WD Austerity Class No.400 "Sir Guy Williams" & 3 x Mk1 suburban brake end coaches in LMR blue, what great value at £114.71 for loco and three coaches!!

Thats probably the first one i will get, followed by the cumbrian mountain and 4f war one

I assume they have lots of suburban brake ends if they did a typical sized batch and expect people to buy the blue ones in the ratios of the actual train formations (ie 5 to 1 or 3 to 1). The LMR had a range of rather esoteric old coaches so doing the proper ones wouldn't be practical.

I can only think that as it was a military railway there was an awful lot of baggage per person transported

I definitely haven't ordered the Cumbrian Mountain Express....

Erm... the only set that proports to represent WW1 is the "Landship" pack with Midland Railway 4F no 3848 which infact entered Traffic in 1912...

Put the Countryside Coal Digital Set with Class 3F Jinty No.23 in SDJR blue on pre-order today, would like the Duchess of Hamilton but can't justify the cost.

That's a 3835 not a 4F though... I know it's splitting hairs due to the 4F being derived from it, but it's still incorrect.

My fingers are getting itchy for one of those Virgin Voyager 220s. The only thing that is worrying is that, as I understand it, they need four decoders.    Is that right and if so why four?  One in each Power unit for head and tail lights I can understand.
