In the news it is said that on-line sales of products reduced after Christmas day are expected to be colossal. I wonder if we will see any of this within our hobby?  Not counting on it mind you, but there's a fair bit expected to arrive in the next few months...cash flow and all that.

That will be a difficult one if it happens. Do we snap up the bargains or hang on to our cash until the new releases hit the shops?  :hmmm:

cheers, Stu.

Bargains, and then when the wallet recovery is done the new releases will be on discount  :beers:  :D

I'm gagging to see/ buy a couple of the Dapol Granges when they are released...for starters!  Certain of the bigger on-line magazine featured shops do come up with offers that are hard to resist  though.    M.R. Direct are my current favourite for offers/ overall best price, even though Kernow MRC are around 10 miles away.

This will be a first for me - New Year sales on trains.

But does it happen or is it like a John Lewis sale with specially bought in tat ?

I would like in the sales...

- doncaster built 56 in blue
- maroon western  (unlikely to be reduced much as new models)
- graham farish blue 47 (with eth and a marker light)
- a few haa hoppers
- any 80s / 90s suitable wagons will probably tempt me if a big discount...

on a more serious note I need a sofa and I need to save up to get a new bathroom fitted. that's boring though.

January sales? I hope not. My wallet is still trying to recover from the October, November and December sales!  :-[
