Thanks folks.  I'll get the button changed to 'Like/Thank You' so that it does the same thing.

Why not just simply rename it "Appreciate" button? That word covers thanked and liked!

Can't we just label it "Moo"

then people can ascribe whatever they like to its meaning

One problem with this. Wouldn't silly moo get a bit confused as to why we keep calling her

How about a reward for a certain amount of thankyous you receive, say you get so much amount of thankyous you get a chocolate bar or sweets or something.

You would have to exclude the moderating team as on average we all help a few people everyday so we rack them quite quickly
