In a way you're lucky, because that first season with Bill Hartnell is one of the best of all of them.

  Crikey, I didn't connect the two events but of course you are right, mind you I had just turned 10 years old a few days earlier so was not too familiar with politics, I do remember everyone (adults) being very upset at the time.
