Just listened to an hour or so of Big Big Train.

Musically they are very adept but it all sounds too much like a Genesis tribute band who happen to write their own stuff.
Plus it sounds rather dated to me so it is I'm afraid a
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

I wouldn't wholly disagree with you there Martin @port perran but I did like the video. I think I could quite happily listen to BBT now and again but wouldn't buy a CD!

Cheers,

Tim

Clever. I have CD after CD of trance/Cream anthems/Ibiza anthems, MoS etc etc but really like the  full blown stuff like Gouryella's Ligaya, William Orbit, Darude etc etc as well as the more chilled stuff

Moonglum

Shhhh, Faithless - love it!

Robert Miles (RIP) was well know for his hit "Children" but this from his collaboration with Trilok Gurtu blew me away. Amazing sound quality...

Cheers,

Tim

It's one of my great regrets in life I never got to a 'rave'. I sort of stumbled across the genre of music in my 50s but now, in my 70s, much though I still like the music I know it was an opportunity never to come round again owing to the poor state of my body.
Now, I can't even go to the cinema as the sound is so loud/intense it vibrates through my chest and makes me feel very ill :(

I didn't have this album, but I like this track featuring Claire Hamill...

Claire sung in a Yes tribute band called Fragile and is still recording and playing live.

Cheers,

Tim

Claire Hamill is a force of nature. Check out this from her 1980s album Voices

Thank you @Foxhound , I have the album - I particularly like "Icicle Rain". I have been a fan of Claire Hamill since the release of her 1984 album "Touch Paper". Over the years she has produced records covering a number of genres such as folk, new age, dance, rock and country. She has collaborated with the late John Critchinson, Gary Numan, Wishbone Ash and members of Yes. She wrote "You take my breath away" which was a hit for the late Eva Cassidy. She will be doing a short tour of the UK this year with her new band showcasing new and old material. I cannot say I like everything she does but here is a good example of her recent work...

Cheers,

Tim

I remember her work (Juliet Roberts) with Working Week - right proper singer!
