I was at Modelrailwaysdirect just to get a seep motor and came away with a Dapol HST set in BR grey. Unfortunately its DOA so that's going back :-( I just hope they can get another as they are discontinued now.

A purchase from Kernow at the recent RMWeb meet in Taunton:

Triple pack of China Clay hoods

Some coaches bought at the Bristol exhibition:

Two Bulleid SKs and a CK

...and not rolling stock, but rolling stock related:

A couple of stock boxes. Now have all my BR(S) coaches in one place for each era. The smaller blue boxes vacated by these coaches have been filled with Maunsells and the BR Maroon inter-regional coaches...

The card slip says 'Wealistic Models' - I only see him at shows in the South of England and save my purchases until I can take advantage of any show special offer prices... I believe he also sells on fleabay under the name JB's Modelworld: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/JBs-Model-World/N-Gauge-Storage-/_i.html?_fsub=2187821

These are only the smaller blue boxes. I haven't seen him selling the Really Useful Box version (the foam inserts are larger to fit in the 4L version now) online. From my discussion with him at the Bristol show he will be at TINGS and Warley later on this year...

Having sold aluminium foil based packaging to Tunnocks in Uddingston for many years (and as a keen devourer of their products), I just had to have one of these...............

Nice, but why are PO wagons so popular when so few people model pre-war?
KISS = Keep it simple stupid

Paddy

Probably because they add (non prototypical) a splash of colour to those rakes of bauxite and grey wagons!  ;)

Who is Turnock's?

Kind regards

I agree that for a transition modeller such as myself the Tunnocks van would be 'out of era' but there are many folks who model heritage railways and even more who just like a stroll down Memory Lane to what seemed happier days :hmmm:
