If we're straying as far afield as Tooting, then I should also mention the Engine Shed in my former stomping ground of Leytonstone: 745 High Road Leytonstone, London E11 4QS.
I am sorry to report that The Engine shed in Leytonstone closed for good 2 or 3 weeks ago

Regards,

Alex

Four more Maunsells have arrived at Dunestone, MRD having got their stock from Dapol...

M7 0-4-4T 37 brings in the empty stock for a London-bound semi-fast service

Those M7s look great. Another one of my favourites.
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

When I originally bought it it was going to be repainted into BR black - it was saved from that fate worse than death by Dapol announcing that a) they will be producing Maunsells and b) a rerun of the M7s, to include a BR Black one...  :D

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Evening all,

Treated myself to a few little goodies this past weekend :D

First up is a Dapol Maunsell Van C and a NGS Stove R in Maroon

Next a triple pack of private owners that Bachmann were selling off, the collection grows!

And also an older tooled Farish Toad, for the sole reason it's a Shrewsbury one :D

Finally, a new loco to the fleet. Dapol Manor in BR Green :) This will be renumbered to 7812 Erlestoke Manor and the arrival of this meant the sale of my Shirtbutton one to Toneeze

Cheers,

Ollie

I know its the wrong scale but when I saw it in India I couldn't resist. Any way I think it will look good on the railway room window ledge.
For those who are interested I will be posting a few pics from my latest escapade in India in the thread I started on Indian railways last year

I decided to treat myself to a new loco as a reward for working my backside off over the past month.  After all, what's the point of paid overtime if you can't buy something fun once in a while?

My local shop had this on its shelves for a while; Dapol 2S-001-000, 7810 Draycott Manor.  The real 7810 was based at Leamington Shed in the 1950s and the local connection was too hard to resist.

They look great for the price, 3 x TSO 1 x CO, just the orange cantrail stripe is a bit more prominent on the bottom TSO.
Not sure about the blue toilet windows though, I remember them as yellow with a blue logo in them...

Cheers
