Afternoon all, well my new crane arrived from Japan this morning and after a test run behind my class 73 I have to say it's a great model. Some work to cover up the Japanese writing will be done. At a cost of £22 I don't think you can go wrong. Hope the pics work ok

Good to see someone getting a "lift" from their purchases, nice one Duncan!

A recent purchase that must rank as one of my good bargain buys - a new high stool/chair for operating my layout from. Very comfy, height adjustable, and in the sale at €59.
In the accompany picture of it I have also including a couple of pics of some of my rolling stock taken from sat on the chair (or should I call it a stool). Anyway much better for operating my railway from than the previous swivel chair I had.

This is a lovely model of a crane.  I have one too that I bought many years ago and repainted it in to BR departmental red.  Not accurate but it looks the part.

Can you take pictures of them? I'd love to see them.

I don't have pictures of them all and at the moment they are packed away because I am having some building work done.  If I can easily lay my hands on them I will take a group picture  ;)

This is the last one I bought.

I was playing trains on some track I had laid when I had an uncoupling, instead of scrapping the video I decided to make up a little story  :D
This was the first Class 08 I bought.

No need to apologise for posting photos
The Class 08 looks in beautiful condition, I do have a soft spot for Class 08 locos  :-[
cheers John.
I have a soft spot for them too. :D  I'm going to end up with at least a half dozen class 08's in different liveries. :P

Although not seen running in this particular video, in the foreground you will see lots views of my "Ivor" special edition Class 08 in front of a rake of weathered plank and fruit wagons.
I mainly run it when testing newly laid track and scenery. The layout shown is not my current one as it has been modified since.

That's freaky - a 58 in something which is almost BR Blue.

Quick update the Class 58 is on it's way back to Dapol, ran brilliantly in DC would not run at all in DCC tried 2 different chips no joy, spoke to a very nice lady at Dapol and arranged a return and replacement hope this one works better

cjdodd

Just ordered mine, I hope mine runs better. I've stayed away from Dapol until now, I hope they don't let me down.

Well here is my most recent haul from the latest NGS meet, TINGS and, well Christmas and Birthday 2014....

The Grampus pair are from the Yeovil gathering, with the un-branded 58 hauling them being my best bargain from Dapol at TINGs. 2nd best bargain was the three telescopic wagons. Nice touch with Dapol of course is that they are all individually numbered.

And then of course there is this:

I finally plucked up the courage to remove the packaging  from my very own CJM loco.

Very happy indeed with "Sir Charles". Also very grateful indeed to all my family who financed it!

Here's my latest haul, had a few days holiday & ended up buying this lot to add to the collection

Dapol class 56, 3 mk2 coaches & some PCA wagons  :D

cheers, Stu.
