not sure if anyone has had this problem,
I recently had a PM from a certain member, and got an e-mail notification of a new message.
I replied, and he responded, but no e-mail of a new message, and this continued.

is a reply not counted by the system as a new message ?

when I log in, I get a pop up telling me I have 1 new message.

Logged on this morning around 11am and it was slow, but not to the point where things timed out etc.  However when I revisited the forum this evening and selected "recent unread posts " it sat there for a while befor reporting that there were no new posts since my last visit, which I find hard to believe.

Hopefully it was just a glitch and nothing major

Did you log in at 19:30?  I had rebooted the server, so it may be the case that the database hadn't fully loaded with the rest of the forum for a couple of minutes.

You should get an email for each new PM received.  If it's a forum thread, then you usually just get one email, despite there being multiple replies.

I've started to get a Recent Items List at the top of my daily feed.
Is this due to recent changes and if so is there a way to remove it?

Also, the icons beneath a post, eg Thumbs up/down, heart, question mark etc, are now twice as big as they were yesterday.

Neither is a huge problem but just thought I'd point it out.

Cheers

I've pointed out the pics at the top which are annoying and really mess up the mobile phone screens. They also squeeze the ads which could be irksome for our advertisers :hmmm:
I got the 'Maintenance' message last night and have asked what exactly has been done e.g. Alerts fixed etc

Thank you for the feedback.  I was snoozing whilst 'NGF Tech' was busy saving the forum.  Some of the upgrades automatically add new features, so I've disabled the gallery box.

I'll look into the icons issue, as it's a bit dominating.

I've now made a new thread about all of this BTW.  :)

Thanks. All sorted now apart from the large icons, which is no issue for me.

Thanks from me too. I can live with the enlarged icons (might even make sure I hit the right ones now  :smiley-laughing:  ) but the recent pics banner was intrusive, along with the forum header and menus it was filling up my entire screen.

Just had an error message in the 'N Gauge Discussion' section

Also, the spacing in the 'Gallery' list of subjects is all wrong and the pics within each subject is a long list without ability to view the maximum per page

Sorry, just feeding back what I find
