I have a vague memory that this has been brought up before but do other people find the Dapol website to be less than helpful ?
I was just trying to find info on the 57XX paniers but can't seem to get anywhere !
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Their site is cr**, unless it's available now there is absolutely nothing on there so if you want to check on a new model or a previous model your stuffed  :veryangry:

I've been trying to find out which of the Class 22's will be the first green one in the shops as I want to place and order for one to no avail.   ???

If you want info on Dapol you either have to go the RMWeb or Dapol's Facebook site   :hmmm:

The website has been awful ever since it was "upgraded" a year or two back.

I think they usually post updates on their Facebook page and don't bother with the website.

The website is of little, if any, use so far as I am concerned.  It's a shame because I find their products, or at least those I have purchased,  to be of the highest quality.

Yep, I use their Facebook site for new info but when you want to go back and see what was said say 6 months ago there is no search option to find it.  Just wish they'd get themselves sorted.   :veryangry2:

Not much use for those of us who do not wish to sign up for Facebook either  >:(

Hi

I find that apart from some maintenance topics and some DCC information the web site is pretty poor.  (most are pretty basic but useful to new modellers)

I agree with most other comments, information on past and future  "models"  is none existant.

Hi
IIRC the website has a link to their facebook page that doesn't require you to have a facebook account.  If you are asked to sign in just close down the pop up box.

The link on the website invites you to log in to Faecesbook or open an FB account - no way, José :censored:

Perhaps it would help if we got together as a forum and put our thoughts into saying what we'd like to see on the Dapol website?  Then I can pass it on to them.  It's very hard to run a website and to keep on top of it. :)  I'm sure they'd welcome our views.

Rowlie

That's strange, when I tried it before I had the log in pop up which I closed and it went straight to their page  :confused2:

Tank, I fully agree with you
Best regards

Facebook really isn't going to sully the purity of your precious bodily fluids unless you let it.

If you create an account and look at the Dapol page, Facebook will know there's someone with your name who's interested in model trains.

If you link to your friends, family, employers, and then post pictures of yourself naked, drunk and cavorting with goats, then yes, some personal information will have leaked!

99% of Facebook is crap, and what's left is often annoying, but it does have some useful things, and it doesn't have the super-powers for Evil everyone seems to want to credit it with...
