Have found unusual locomotive, am interested in perhaps using one on my layout

Whilst trawling through the internet, for research purposes, I happened to come across an article on Wikipedia in relation to a rather unusual locomotive nicknamed the "Fell".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_10100

I am wondering if there are any kits available to recreate it in N Gauge, as I think it would make an interesting feature for my layout. To me it resembles a rather square version of a class 37, so am wondering weather or not an old 37 body with plasticard could be used to create a conversion for one, though how I would achieve the appearence of wheels is something I would have to seriously consider as they don't appear to be conventional forms (infact they appear to be more like modified Class 14 or Class 17)

I must admit that I have never before constructed a locomotive kit, I have experience with rolling stock, and have considered this a better start than perhaps say a steam locomotive, mainly because of the shape and design. If any one can offer any advice or thoughts on this I'd be most grateful.

Please note that this is not going to be an immediate project, I still have to make notes and carry out research before I decide whether or not I would like to commit myself to this idea, and that it may never come to fruition, but if I could have your thoughts on this, whether or not it's viable, again I'd be most grateful.
Cheers.

Hmmm very interesting, looks very nice actually.

Id imagine 2 class 37 bodys, old style, cut one in half to the correct size, than after glueing those halfs together cut the nose ends off the second body, that way you can extend the nose ends to the length needed. I hope haha.

As for chassis units,
Fleischmann 7305 - N Scale  http://www.gaugemaster.com/search_results.asp?searchstring=scale~~%acn%ac~~scale%20brand~~613~~brand%20category~~1250~~category&style=&andor=&method=kws&strtype=&currentpage=3

or

Arnold HIN2125 - N Scale  http://www.gaugemaster.com/search_results.asp?searchstring=brand~~676~~brand%20scale~~%acn%ac~~scale&currentpage=2#14

Sorry about the large links. I think the second chassis with some modification would be the best. thats just a quick idea from memory.
OK who took my cake?

Many thanks for this input, a good starting point to begin with.
Cheers.
